I had met Mathilda on another job that she was leading: immediately she impressed me with her management skills – in one word, “Inspiring”. Some time later I realized I had the need to bring in someone to supervise one of my projects on the Upper West Side. I remembered about Mathilda and due to amazing good fortune, she was available.
After this experience, I can safely declare that she is the only one I could trust to run a project from start to finish and with my eyes closed, know without a doubt the finishes would be of the highest quality, and the project on time and within the budget. It was an amazing experience getting to work with her. I actually can say that I learned a lot from her. With seemingly no effort, she deftly managed expenses, changing timelines, and changing teams to not only complete the project spectacularly, but came with so much more. Mathilda went above and beyond to suggest practical and creative solutions to improve the project, save money and increase the satisfaction of the clients on a daily basis.
She’s a true leader. I called her the Iron Woman. Her ability to change gears is unmatched. I even had the unprecedented confidence in her to interface with my clients of whom I am very protective. The only downside that I could honestly say about working with Mathilda is afterwards anyone else you meet will be a disappointment, she’s one of a kind and irreplaceable. My home is my sanctuary. Working with Mati, we have created space where my family and I are calm and comfortable. Mati's attunement to each of our personalities and aesthetics created an environment where we each have our own individual spaces as well as collective group spaces. This has helped our family become healthier and happier together. Our project with Mati was collaborative. She carefully guided our decisions, providing the expertise needed to make the best choices. Being very respectful of our budget, she eliminated all the stress and anxiety I had anticipated. With her help the design process was fun! It is clear that Mati is an artist, design being her medium and the living space her canvas. I was so impressed by her attention to each individual detail as components of a larger whole.
